Over 10 weeks, we've been training the Big 3 lifts: Dead Lift, Back Squat, and Bench Press. For the second year, we're prepping for the 1,000 Pound Club, testing our one-rep maxes in the Big 3 the week of May 19, 2025. Read on to learn more about this prestigious achievement!
A: Defined Training's 1,000 Pound Club requires members to achieve a combined one-rep max of 1,000 pounds in the deadlift, back squat, and bench press. And we're celebrating every milestone along the way, beginning at 500 pounds!
The 1,000 Pound Club isn't just for our strongest lifters: It's an inclusive club open to anyone who trains hard, tracks progress, and strives to get stronger!
A: Our testing week is just around the corner and begins the week of May 19, 2025. Defined will provide all athletes with scorecards for each of their three lifts: deadlift, back squat, and bench press. Fill out your scorecard for each lift and submit it to your coach to join the club!
Your name will be recognized on our wall as either a member of the 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, or 1,000 Pound Club. As you continue to train and test at Defined, advancing through the club ranks becomes possible as your strength grows.
A: The 1,000 Pound Club acknowledges your physical achievements and dedication to your training. Just as every sport has its performance benchmarks, such as CrossFit's Hero and Girl WODs, or mile time trials for runners, etc. — qualifying for the 1,000 Pound Club in lifting is a prestigious achievement that pushes your training goals to the next level.
So, who's ready to #LiftHeavy!? We'll see you on the training floor.
